Lorna Brown is a contemporary textile designer and fine art screen printer living and working in Edinburgh. B.U. designs often have a beautifully complex, layered patina creating colorful, expressive designs that are transformed through screen printing and digital processes into home wear, accessories and artworks. Lorna’s considered, process driven craftsmanship expresses her mindful, immersive placement printing style.

A graduate of Edinburgh College of Art, Lorna holds a Degree & Post Graduate Diploma in Printed Textile Design. She also has her City and Guilds Adult and Further Education teaching qualification.
Lorna values the sharing of knowledge and skills with others and has delivered and facilitated art and design projects for many years in community, FE and HE. Working with others to expand her practice, find design solutions and research new processes are important factors in Blessed Unrest's creation process. Lorna has been involved in many exciting projects and continues to pursue new connections, support collaborations and undertake commissions.
Opened in 2023 through the Creative Edinburgh Crowdmatch Competition, INK on MESH- Community Access Print Studio has became a new exciting teaching space and home to the Blessed Unrest brand.
